Help, I want to travel but I don’t want to homeschool

You have this dream to pack up the family and travel for 12 months, 3 years, maybe indefinitely. Or you may already have been on the road for a few months and have reached the decision that this is exactly what you want to be doing for the foreseeable future. But there’s a catch – you are worried about homeschooling your kids. Maybe it feels like a huge responsibility that you are just not quite ready to take on. Maybe you don’t know where to start. If you’ve been travelling for a few months already and tried it out, perhaps you’ve realised that for whatever reason, homeschooling isn’t right for you or your family. So what do you do?

Scared to homeschool? It’s not that hard

Firstly I should probably start by saying that after homeschooling isn’t that hard. Covering the actual curriculum your children would be following at school isn’t that difficult while you travel. A couple of hours a day can easily cover what children learn in a classroom. Even less if make the most of learning opportunities along the road.
